Brand new Academy for rising 9th graders
The Entrepreneurship and Business Academy at Kempsville High School was approved last night (10-6-15) by the school board and plans to accept 125 rising 9th graders this school year for the Fall of 2016. Event Date Changes
When weather dictates the necessity to change event dates, the calendar on the PAMS homepage will reflect those changes.
PM Homework Center
PM Homework Center will start Monday, October 5. The homework center will run Monday-Thursday every week after school in Room 106. Desktop computers or laptops will be available for student use. Tutoring will begin the following Monday. More information about tutoring will be available soon.
Move It! For Military Kids
Between October 5 and November 20 in support of military and veteran-connected kids and the challenges they face with mobility,family separation, and transition.

Military Appreciation Breakfast

Intramurals will begin every Tuesday/Thursday after school starting on October 6th for the first 9 weeks. If students are interested in playing basketball, volleyball or getting a workout in…please sign up on the dated form outside the gym near the 700 hallway. We need a minimum of 6 students to participate or we will cancel for the day.
Advanced Studies and Academy Programs
8th grade counselor, Ms. McGinnis, has begun presentations via 8th grade science classrooms regarding academy programs as well as other advanced studies options for rising 9th graders. This should be beneficial in terms of remembering important, upcoming dates concerning academy and advanced studies programs for high school. October 22, 2015, is the informational night for all academies and advanced studies programs from 6:00- 8:00 pm at the Va. Beach Convention Center on 19th Street.
