Donations Needed

Winter is coming and homeless families and shelters need our help.  Panther Paws with a Cause is collecting the following items in partnership with the SCA. We need:  hats, gloves, socks, scarves, and blankets.  These items may be new or gently used.  They may be for adults or kids.  There will be two large boxes located in the front of the building near the security desk and library.  Please donate so everyone can stay warm this winter.  Thank you very much!

PIN Ministries Backpack Drive

As the cold months approach, Rachel’s Challenge FOR club is once again hosting the PIN Ministries Backpack drive. Last year we assembled 57 backpacks and are aiming to top that number. PIN Ministries help the homeless in Hampton Roads. This drive targets homeless children and aims at providing them with warm clothing to survive the winter months. Each 4 person core team is asked to create at least one sturdy backpack of items that include a warm hat, scarf, gloves, warm socks, warm compact blanket, hot hands, and stuffed animal.  Teams with more than 4 teachers are encouraged to submit at least two backpacks.  Extra items can be brought to Mrs. Burchett in guidance or Mrs. Walton in room 504.  Please address all questions to Mrs. Burchett [email protected] or 648-4964. Drive Runs from Monday November 24th through Monday December 12th.
