Contact Mr Pohl

Mr. Pohl has joined the Princess Anne Middle School family coming from Cox High School where he served as an assistant principal since 2004. He is a product of Virginia Beach City Public Schools and a graduate of Cox High School. He was an Assistant Principal at Pasquotank County High School in Elizabeth City, North Carolina for two years before coming to VBCPS. Before becoming an administrator, Mr. Pohl taught math at Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, where he was named teacher of the year in 1999 at the age of 26. Mr. Pohl completed his BS in Applied Mathematics, MS in Secondary Education, and some postgraduate work at Old Dominion University. He began working on his Ph.D. in the spring of 2005.

He and his wife, an AP US History teacher at Ocean Lakes High School, have one son and one daughter.
